Guardian's Heart

Rosia: (Excitement was an understatement for what she now felt. But worst was the nervousness that threatened to ruin everything for her. She took a deep breath, re-checking her clothes and everything to make sure she didn't look horrible. When she was satisfied, she took another breath and finally headed out. Today was the day she was finally going to be able to join his group. Anything to get close to him. As she made it to the meeting place, she took another breath to calm excitement/nervousness, her ice pink eyes shifting around the area. She was early, and they wouldn't arrive for a few minutes.)

Justin: (He was reading over some papers that were given to him earlier that day. Details of the new mission, but there was also another part that irritated him. A new member would be joining his group today. Permanently. He curled his lip up in disgust. He did not need a new recruit slowing down the progress that him, Akuji, and Rina where famous for. He shook his head as he continued on to the meeting place.)

Rina: (She heard the news of the new member joining the group and wondered what they where like. She voiced her opinion to the others.) Does anybody know anything about our new member?

Justin: I don’t care who they are, so long as they stay out of my way.

Rina: ¬¬ Typical answer … (She looked over at Akuji to see if he had anything to say.)

Akuji: (Of course being the information source of the group he knew all the details. It helped that his father was Legolas, the leader as well.) Her name is Rosia Dragonheart. She just turned 20 two months ago and she's does have some experience as a fighter. However, this will be her first mission. From what I hear, she was the one that requested to be on our team. (He continued to walk, not looking at either of his team mates as he spoke.)

Justin: Hmp.

Rina: ¬¬ (Sighs at the thought of this being her first mission.) This may be her last mission when she realizes how tough it’s going to be.

Rosia: (She continued to wait, eager to see Justin and eager to prove herself. Yet, as the minutes ticked away, she grew more and more nervous, wondering what would be the best thing to say.)

Akuji: Perhaps.

Rina: (Goes back to her own thoughts, remembering these two are not conversationalists. Continues to walk and finally they reach there destination. Looks ahead to see her already waiting there.) At least she’s on time.

Justin: (Looks ahead as well and see’s the new recruit they have been given. Not the least bit impressed and gives his most disapproving look as he walks past her.)

Rosia: (She stood as they arrived, a smile touching her lips in a friendly greeting as they neared. She wore simple clothings that were suited to the task. Still, they hugged her form, showing her curved nicely. Her matching pink hair was pulled into a tight French braid, easily kept out of her eyes. As Justin walked straight past her, she felt a tight clenching of her heart. It wasn't really the fact that he moved past her, but the hateful look he had toward her. She was beginning to wonder if she had done something wrong. Looking back toward the other two, she tried to guess their thoughts. Would they share Justin's glare? Or would their greeting be different?) I'm Rosia. (Her voice was low, yet even still there was an upbeat confidence behind her words.)

Akuji: (He gave her a quick look over, noticing instantly that she seemed to be fit. Good, that would make it a bit easier for her to keep up. He gave a very slight nod then moved past her as well, though more casual.) Akuji.

Rina: (Would never understand why these guys thought their behavior was cool. Shakes her head with a sigh and goes over to Rosia.) Hello Rosia, my name is Rina. It’s nice to meet you.

Rosia: (She gave Rina a warm smile, glad that she was getting at least one friendly greeting. Akuji had spoken his own name, but he seemed more interested in following behind Justin.) You as well.

Akuji: (Not far from Justin.) So what's your plan on this mission?

Rosia: (She was now walking near Rina, falling in as they moved on.)

Rina: (Follows behind her two comrades, looking at Justin as she hears Akuji ask him that.)

Justin: The same plan we have for every mission. Get in, get the job done, get out. This mission is an easy one though, the obvious reason is that Legolas is going soft on us because we have a nobody among our ranks. No matter. A mission is a mission. We are to liberate a small town east of here. They are being harassed by bandits. We must clear the bandits out and make sure they do not return. If the townspeople require anything more of us, we are to assist with that as well. When we enter the village, we will each take a direction. North, South, East, or West. Do I make myself clear?

Rosia: (She stopped in her tracks, his words cutting through her like a hot knife into her heart. At first she just felt hurt, but then it turned to indignation.) Before we go any further, let me make one thing clear. (Her voice was hot and sharp.) I am not a nobody and I will not tolerate such insults. If you want my respect as your team mate you had better earn it. Do I make myself clear?

Akuji: (He too stopped as he heard her speak, his eyes raising in utter surprise at her guts to speak to Justin in such a way. Curious as to how Justin would react to this, he turned to watch his leader.)

Justin: I don’t want your respect nor do I have any desire to earn it. You can leave now if you’re already offended, it won’t bother me one little bit. We don’t need a fourth member, so leave now or shut up.

Rosia: (She couldn't believe it. She had always known that Justin was stoic, but she never expected him to be outright cold-hearted. Her face flashed hotly and she took a deep calming breath.) I will do neither. Just keep your insults to yourself, that's all I ask.

Justin: (Glares some but goes back to what he was talking about.) Let’s move out. (Reaches in his pocket and pulls out a stone. It’s a teleporting stone that will take them to their destination. Holds it out for everyone to touch.)

Rina: (Sighs and shakes her head. Loves how things have started out. XD Places her hand onto the stone.)

Rosia: (She didn't say anything else after that, though she was still hurt by his words. After watching Rina and Akuji place their hands on the stone, she understood she was supposed to do the same. Slowly, she reached out a hand and placed it upon the stone with the others.)

Akuji: (Has a slight smirk on his face, can't believe how things have started. Think that Rosia is going to make things a bit more interesting. XD)

Justin: (The mere sight of her irritates him. The light from the store lights up his face, but there is a nasty look on it as he looks towards Rosia and they all teleport.)

Rina: (Once they teleport and reach their destination, she takes her hand back and looks around. They are on top of a hill and they can see the village below. Smoke and fire erupt from it as the bandits have begun another assault.) We have to move! (Rushes in.)

Justin: (Has seen this as well and is right there with her.)

Rosia: (His angry look made her look away, though she was still angry at him, she didn't know what she had done to receive such contempt. But all that was washed away when they arrived to the hill. She smelled the smoke before she saw the flames. She was running an instant after Justin was, making her way toward the village to help.)

Akuji: (He didn't join them, not yet. There was another task that was his duty before he could join them. Closing his eyes he made a gesture with his hand and began to mumble an incantation. Should the fire be left, it would devour the village and the mission would fail. And so, after several moments of chanting, drops of water began to pour from the sky. Within moments, everything within 75 miles was being drenched in rain. Once the spell was over, he was exhausted, but that was the price of being a mage. Ignoring the fatigue, he rushed in after his team mates.)

Rina: (Feeling the drops of rain sting at her cheeks as she ran, she smiled a bit, knowing that it was Akuji’s doing. She leaped across a high wall and came slamming down onto the ground below. Challenging all who dare take her up on her offer.)

Justin: (Notices the rain as well, pleased that Akuji had done his job at least. He came to the front doors and sliced through them with great ease. Rushing in he began his work on any enemies and helping those who needed him.)

Rosia: (She equipped her choice weapons on the run, gloves with spiked knuckles. She didn't hesitate to rush into battle even though this was her first true battle. She moved in fighting, working her way toward the bandits that were attacking people. In the back of her mind, she felt a urge to prove to Justin that she wasn't a nobody. It gave her enough adrenaline to fight with speed she didn't even know she had.)

Justin: (One hard hit was usually enough for each bandit, probable a little much, but no matter, it got the job done. He made his way on top of a high wall so he could survey his surrounding area and take it all to see where help was needed the most. He saw Rina, and Rosia who was doing fairly well but he would never admit it. He still felt as though they did not need a forth. He then glanced and seen what looked like the head bandit, marking him as his next victim, Justin jumped from the wall he was on and rushes over towards the bandit leader. [It’s like Dynasty Warriors. XD])

Rina: (She delivered kick as kick, punch after punch to anybody who stepped up to her. There were two bandits around her, but she quickly took care of them both. Looking ahead of herself she saw a burning building, but what caught her eye the most was the little girl in the high window. Rina gasped and rushes to the building. Taking a small blanket from nearby, she drenched it in a bucket of water and threw it over her head and rushed into the burning house.)

Akuji: (As he neared the area, he watched as the fire began to die down, the flames being drowned out by the rainstorm he had called forth. As he entered the town, he seen that most of the enemies in that area had been defeated. It was then that he watched as Rina rushed into the building with the child. He decided he would stay there in case he was needed. Meanwhile, he spoke a soft word and a spell wrapped around Justin. It was a haste spell and for a little while it would give Justin incredible speed.)

Rosia: (She continued to fight the bandits as she came across them, taking care of the ones that went after the villagers. Once she had most of them down, she turned to see where she could find her next target. It was then that a bandit jumped from a roof behind her, slashing her side with a knife. She winched as she felt the bite of the blade, but turned with reflexes honed by sparing with very lively and powerful brothers. She took the bandit down and looked around. No one had noticed her wound and she was glad for that. Ignoring the pain, she moved on to continue the fight.)

Justin: (Felt the increased speed and was grateful for it. Rushes in and took the bandit leader by surprise, delivering a hard right hook to his face.)

Rina: (She reached the second floor with ease and found the little girl huddled in the corner, coughing. She quickly moved over and picked up the child, wraping her in the wet blanket she has used to get in. She jumped from the second story window, landing on her feet gracefully. She put the child down on the ground.) Run to safely now. (She smiled and patted the little girl on the head.)

Little Girl: (Nods and runs to do as she’s told.)

Rina: (Looks around again to see what else needs to be done.)

Akuji: (Not far from her.) Seems like we've got this handled. (Looks over to see how Rosia's doing.)

Rosia: (Just took down a bandit. Looks around and doesn't see anymore nearby.)

Akuji: At least she can handle herself decently. (With that he started making his way toward Justin.)

Rina: Hmm… for now. (Starts walking with Akuji toward where Justin.)

Justin: (Takes out the bandit leader with ease, and then looks around to make sure there is nobody else. There is none. See’s the others approaching him.)

Rosia: (When she see that there is no other bandits she looks around noticing she was closest to Justin. She glanced at him, but as soon as he was looking toward her way she turned her head. She smiled toward Rina and waited for the other girl to catch up.)

Akuji: I think you've recruited a puppy. (He was teasing Rina. He has a calm, suave voice that seems to be talking in silk no matter what he says.) You shouldn't have been so nice to her, now you will be the one who gets to deal with her. (They were far enough away that Rosia didn't hear him, which he wouldn't have cared if she had.)
